For easier reference, I've also placed the most striking visual elements of the book here, as a companion to some of the textual references. All the images come from public editions of Shandy in Google Books.


The illustrations come from Wikimedia Commons, and were originally made by George Cruikshank, who designed eight plates to illustrate the book, starting in 1760.

Under "downloads" you can find a PDF version of an early edition of the text, as well as a link to an awesome website also devoted to Tristram Shandy where you can browse (and download!) a glorious facsimile from 1760.
